Privacy Policy

This policy explains how ChampBrain Academy ("we") handles information in the ChampBrain apps: the parent and student app (champbrain.com/app, Android package com.champbrain.app), the staff app ChampBrain Team (champbrain.com/team, Android package com.champbrain.team) and the admin panel. We follow India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

1. What we collect

• Parents: name and mobile number (verified by OTP).
• Children: name, class, study mode, optional student mobile number, attendance, homework status, marks, practice test results, Champ Coins and questions asked to the AI tutor. A child is registered only by a parent or guardian who gives consent.
• Staff (teachers and marketing): name, mobile number, role, salary and incentive records. Marketing staff may save details of parents who asked about admission (name, mobile, child's name and class, area and notes).
• Payments: fee and plan records (amount, month, status). Card, UPI and bank details are handled by Razorpay; we never see or store them.
• Technical: a login cookie, and a notification token if you turn on phone notifications. Basic server logs (IP address, time) are kept for security.

2. Why we use it

• To run classes: attendance, homework, marks, notices and messages between teachers and parents.
• To collect fees and run subscription plans.
• To answer study doubts with the AI tutor and to show practice tests and videos.
• To pay staff salary and admission incentives.
• To send OTPs and notifications you asked for.

We do not sell personal data. We do not show tracking or personalised ads to children. Study screens (lessons, tests, doubts) have no ads. Banners in the app are for our own academy offers or clearly marked sponsors and do not use personal data.

3. Who we share it with

• Razorpay: to process online payments.
• SMS provider: to send the OTP to your number.
• Anthropic: the text of a study question is sent to an AI model to write the answer. We do not send the child's name or phone number with it.
• Hosting: our servers run on Amazon Web Services.
• Google / Apple push services: only to deliver notifications you turned on.

Teachers see only their own batches. Marketing staff see only their own leads and the admissions made with their code.

4. Security and storage

All traffic uses HTTPS. Logins use one-time passwords and secure cookies. Access is limited by role. We keep data while the student or staff member is with the academy and for up to 3 years after that for fee and tax records, then delete it, unless the law needs us to keep it longer.

5. Your rights

A parent can ask to see, correct or delete their own and their child's data, or withdraw consent. Staff can ask the same for their data. Send the request on WhatsApp to +91 89235 89235 from your registered number, or email [email protected]. We reply within 7 days. Deleting the account removes the login and personal details; payment records needed by law are kept.

6. Children

Children under 18 use the app only with a parent's consent given at registration. On a parent's phone, "Bachcha mode" locks parent pages behind a PIN.

7. Changes and contact
